Part-1 Applying OMS Patches
- We need to Download Patch 33076766: Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Release 4 Update 12 (13.4.0.12) for Oracle Management Service
- OMSPatcher patch of version 13.9.4.6.0 for Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13.4.0.0.0 (Patch) For RU6 and above (Patch)
- OPatch 13.9.4.2.6 is available via Patch 28186730. Ensure that the correct version 13.9.4.2.6 is selected while downloading the OPatch.
Step:-1 For Rollback plan
Take Backup of $MIDDLEWARE_HOME
Shutdown OMS (emctl stop oms -force) cd /u01/app/oracle/ tar -zcvf middleware_bkp.tar middleware
You can also take backup in the background using nohup.
nohup tar -zcvf middleware_bkp.tar middleware &
You can also take backup in different location/path.
nohup tar -zcvf /backup/oracle/middleware_bkp.tar middleware &
Step:-2 Check before Patching status

Pre-Installation Instructions

1. Backup of the ORACLE_HOME and Central Inventory must be taken as there is no mechanism to rollback to the older OPatch version.
2. Unzip this patch into your PATCH_HOME staging directory.
3. This installer must be executed using a Java Development Kit (JDK).
– Set your PATH to include your <JDK_LOCATION>/bin
4. All the processes which are using files from ORACLE_HOME must be stopped before OPatch upgrade.

- Ensure that the Oracle WebLogic Administration server that hosts the OMS is up and running.
- Ensure that the Oracle Database, which houses the Management Repository and its Listener, is up and running.
- Ensure that you have OPatch version 13.9.4.2.5 or later and OMSPatcher version 13.9.4.6.0 for Enterprise Manager 13.4.0.0.0 release.
